Oh my God, talk about depressing news on the net!!!
According to 270towin.com if the 2008 presidential election were held today, Democrats would have 183 electoral votes and Republicans would have 213 electoral votes with 142 electoral votes undecided. As the sites' title explains a candidate must accumulate 270 electoral votes to win.
Furthermore, according to the site, Republicans have an 83% percent probability of reaching 270 electoral votes and winning the 08 election, while democrats have only a 16% probability of winning.
All this despite 7 years of less than stellar governing by Mr. Arbusto!!!!
I'll need to double up on my depression meds tonight!

just to clarify.... the 83% chance for Repubs. is not a real number, it is a placeholder based on actual 2004 results. Once the candidates are known for 2008, and actual head-head polls come out, we'll update these numbers.
