A journey to the far ends of Latino cyberspace!

We, well I for know, begin a new journey. A journey to a new frontier: Latino cyberspace and all its wonders. Every journey has a purpose, whether it be to learn, to find new places, to share an experience, to meet new people, make new friends, help others, grow spiritually, emotionally, intellectually. This journey is no different, hopefully it will be all those things and more, but of course with a Latino beat! Our mission, if we choose to accept it, is to discover all the cool, padre, chevere, chingon, and just plain bitchin' things there are out on the net for Latinos to experience.

A little background info on this Latino Capt. Kirk who attempts to navigate you safely through the web's meteor belt. I was born in the Land of Marti and Beny More but due to bearded circumstances beyond my control departed Cubita bella at a young age and was raised on La Isla del Encanto, which wasn't half bad. To this day I feel at least 1/2 Boricua. Cut to age 23 when again life's twists and turns land me in Hollywierd CA, where my proud Azteca and Central American brothers and sisters rule the Latino SoCal universe! I've had great Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican, Venezuelan, Brazilian, Colombian, Salvadorian, Nicaraguan, Honduran, Peruvian and other Latino friends! So needles to say, I feel as though life's travails have made me uniquely qualified to explore all things Latino!

I believe strongly this blog will serve as a useful tool as we compile in one convenient, and hopefully, entertaining place all that exists on the net for Latinos to experience and benefit from. As your captain, I will do my level best to keep this ship on track towards its stated mission: to document all things pertaining to Latinos on the web. Will the ship ever go off track? I'm sure of it, I only know how to use GPS so well.

Are there any doubts as I embark on this journey? You bet! I'm I talented enough to guide you on this journey safely? I'm I funny enough? Witty enough? A good enough writer? Will I have enough time to spend at the helm? Can we kick some Klingon booty? All these questions and many more should be answered in the near future.

So I hope you'll join me on this journey, as I try my very best to make it a worthwhile endeavor for us all.
