I'd like to share with you a site I found a few months ago, and found to be very enlightening. The site does not pertain solely to Latinos, but I believe it will be worth your while nonetheless .
The site Miniature Earth features a short film which shows what the world would look like if the planet's population was reduced to just 100 people ( based on UN and other reputable statistics.)
The statistics regarding world poverty are more than a little disconcerting, but you're left with a feeling of great appreciation for what you have, not a bad thing to have.
I wont spoil the film for you, but I'll leave you with just one statistic: If you own a bed, a refrigerator and have a roof over your head, you're richer than 75% of the world's population.

I love this. Everyone should see this. We are all so truly connected in the human experience.
